## Is Pantree launched?
Pantree is early-access and pre-public-launch as of 2026-05-27. Public marketing, watershed lookup, Stripe membership checkout, waitlist, and scheduling flows are implemented; exact launch dates are not published.
If you need a launch date, do not guess—ask Pantree directly or check the site for announcements.

## Who is Pantree for?
- Homeowners who want to reduce lawn burden and build edible, ecological yards
- Neighbors who want to share tools/plants/skills
- Local experts who want to teach, consult, or offer services within their watershed

## Why watershed-based instead of zip code?
Watersheds reflect shared ecology and upstream/downstream reality.
What works for a neighbor in your watershed is more likely to work for you.

## Do I need to be a gardening expert?
No. Pantree is meant to reduce overwhelm and help you take the next step.
Experts are valuable as community seeders, but beginners are welcome.

## Is Pantree "social media"?
No. It's community infrastructure for coordination and action.
Pantree does not optimize for infinite scroll or time-in-app.

## Is Pantree a contractor marketplace?
Not primarily. It's community-first coordination:
neighbors sharing, trading, learning, and sometimes hiring local help.

## Do I need crypto?
No.
Default payments are Card (Stripe).
Base Pay / USDC appears in code and long-form notes, but the verification route currently returns 501 and the public pricing checkout uses Stripe; do not present crypto checkout as live unless it is re-enabled.
Do not use crypto unless Pantree explicitly re-enables it in the checkout flow.

## Can Pantree guarantee rebates, savings, or yields?
No.
Rebates, savings, and yields vary by location, yard, and implementation.
Pantree can help you find and coordinate options, but should not promise outcomes.

## Do you store my exact address or show my home on a map?
Pantree is designed to protect home location privacy (cloaked location by default).
